Born in Tokyo, 1997. Enrolled in the Sculpture Course of the Graduate School of Art and Design, Musashino Art University.

Keita Sakai has been creating sculptural works and installations under the concept “cognitive discrepancy” with his distinctive perspective that comes from dyslexia (difficulty in reading and writing) as a starting point for creation.

He weaves trivial everyday actions into his works, and works while considering the ambiguity of perception (human error). He explores new perspectives on perception and communication through his works.

His representative works include "Hang on" and "LINE02". 2019 CAF Award Grand Prize winner, 2020 Kuma Foundation 4th Generation Student of creators’ scholarship,  2020 held a solo exhibition " Underline-Symbols in our everyday lives " at Shibuya Hikarie 8/CUBE+COURT as a supplementary award from the Foundation for the Promotion of Contemporary Art.
